Proof- Day 1

PROOF that I’m in the studio in the pictures below! So the first day was actually today, Wed June 4th. Still have a cold but cold-eeze (near miracle stuff) is making it go quickly. Today we started by listening to nearly 20-30 of my favorite songs. Favorite for one reason or another. A lot of Death Cab, Tegan and Sara, some Eisley, and um.. knick and knacks from other sonic universes. It’s a time for Producer Tim to try to understand what sounds I like to hear, though I don’t know if i just ended up confusing us both. I was throwing around words like “gummy guitars” and ‘I love chewy guitar” and oh. a good one. “Rubbery”. (don’t ask). in any case it was a great start. conversation flowed up down and around music. it seems we enjoy many of the same bands. that’s always a good sign! Then we reviewed the demos and talked about general ideas. Tomorrow we continue with preproduction by notating chords and structures of the songs so charts of the songs can be made. Early bedtime tonight for me! More tomorrow!
