album recording update!

So… I’ve found another producer! Yay! Very excited to get the album done. The only thing is he’s pretty busy and pretty booked the next few months so I’ll be working with him during any free/open days he has this spring and we’ll finish all the tracks. Looks like we’ll use most if not all of the drum tracks I recorded last summer so we’ll have a strong foundation to build on in finishing up the songs for a summer release. Can’t wait. Literally. Actually, that’s the only thing I’m bummed about. I wish I could finish it up right now, but I gotta take it as it comes. And that’s what I need to do right now. Focus, be patient, and sit tight.

Otherwise, we’ve got just a little less in the fundraiser account than what we need to cover paying for the recording and I hope to make up for that by selling my second guitar. But I definitely don’t have enough to pay for duplication of the CD ($1200) so I’ll have to get cracking on that. I have a job interview tomorrow, we’ll see how that goes and if I can juggle more part-time work with being creative. Slow and steady, gotta stay the course.
